Going on a road trip is an American pastime. The only thing that has really changed is that now they are taken in SUVs or minivans rather than the family station wagon. But what hasn't changed is the need to be prepared. Here are some tips to help your road trip go more smoothly.

  • Plan out your route. Cellphones and GPS devices have made travelers complacent, but it's still a good idea to plan out your route ahead of time and let people know where you will be when.
  • Pack food and water. Bringing your own snacks is cheaper and more convenient than picking up stuff when you stop.
  • Ensure your car is road ready. Before taking a long automobile trip, you should have your vehicle checked out to ensure everything is in good working order. Come in to our dealership's service center, and we will check things out and make any needed adjustments.
